WWE’s Omos has opened up on his feelings about MVP who recently departed the company after his contract expired.
MVP’s contract with WWE reportedly expired on August 2, 2024, with the former two-time United States Champion entering free agency.
On July 29, MVP made a surprise appearance at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport and announced that he wouldn’t be returning to WWE and that he was “not ready to retire yet.”
With MVP now no longer under contract with WWE, Omos reflected on the time he spent with the former star during an interview with Adrian Hernandez of Unlikely, saying:
“Since my time on WWE, I’ve spent the most time with MVP on the road. We’ve driven everywhere. It was him and I, hip to hip.
“I’m definitely going to miss him. I think it was time and in our time spent together, I was able to learn a lot from him. I was able to pick his brain. We spoke about everything from wrestling to promos. How to be a good heel. Just little things about the business that a lot of guys don’t get, I got to get that one-on-one time with him, someone who is very experienced in this business.
“I was extremely grateful that I had the opportunity to work with him and I did learn a lot. Forever friendship. He’s forever my guy.”
Omos became aligned with MVP in April 2022 after the former United States Champion turned on Bobby Lashley, with their partnership lasting until MVP’s WWE departure earlier this month.
Lashley has recently commented on his relationship with Triple H amid rumors that The All-Mighty’s WWE contract is expiring.
