
It was reported last night that people within NXT were under the impression that WWE was interested in bringing Samoa Joe back to the black and gold brand as a wrestler following his shock release in April.
This was then followed up by another report from Fightful Select, with the site reporting that NXT officials had told them that Samoa Joe was actually at the WWE Performance Center this week.
The initial report stated that WWE was interested in bringing Samoa Joe back as a wrestler, but Sean Ross Sapp has added on Twitter that the company are open to using Joe in “a variety of roles”:
