WWE Main Roster Star Accepts NXT Champion Open Challenge

Alpha Academy may have lost to American Made on the August 12 episode of WWE Raw but that won’t stop Otis seeking victory.

Last night’s WWE Raw saw Otis & Akira Tozawa take on the Creed Brothers, with Ivy Nile’s presence playing a factor in their victory.

In post-match comments, which can be seen below this news story, Alpha Academy reflected on their loss.

With Maxxine Dupri talking about betrayal at the hands of Ivy Nile, Otis would go on to reveal his plans for Oba Femi after a staredown on WWE Raw, saying:

“Oba, how ya doing? I’m Otis. That 20 pounds of gold on your shoulder sure looks damn good.

“If there’s one thing that people know out there, it’s I’m one mean [grunts] mother.

“I’m coming for you. Tomorrow night, open challenge for the North American Championship, oh yes, it’s big Otis versus Oba. Oh, yeah!”

WWE NXT is yet to make the match official with their last show preview post below this news story.

Otis last appeared on WWE NXT back in March 2024, teaming with Akira Tozawa to take on Baron Corbin & Bron Breakker.
