WWE Partnership Ends, Another Begins On SmackDown

WWE Partnership Ends, Another Begins On SmackDown WWE

A new alliance has been confirmed furing tonight’s May 23 episode of WWE SmackDown, emanating from Savannah, Georgia.

The SmackDown tag team division has been a big focus of the show in recent months, with DIY (Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa) and the Motor City Machine Guns (Alex Shelley and Chris Sabin) among the top teams featured in the division.

Tonight’s SmackDown played host to a singles match between DIY’s Ciampa and MCMG’s Sabin.

The finish of the match came when Gargano on the outside distracted the referee, with his wife Candice LeRae appearing from out of nowhere and attacking Sabin behind the ref’s back, allowing Ciampa to capitalize and score the win.

LeRae then got in the ring and celebrated with Gargano and Ciampa.

This seems to confirm that going forward, LeRae will officially be aligned with her husband Gargano and Ciampa as a trio.

Previously, LeRae had been in a team with Nia Jax, but since Jax returned to WWE TV a few weeks ago, LeRae hasn’t been with her, so tonight seemingly cements that their months-long partnership is finished as well.
