In the age of social media running riot, it’s no surprise that WWE has adapted to using YouTube and various other platforms as a way to expand the reach of the WWE product.
Every week WWE uploads highlights of Raw, SmackDown, NXT 2.0, NXT Level Up and NXT UK to the YouTube channel, as well as exclusive interviews, top 10 lists and classic content.
Interim WWE CEO and chairwoman Stephanie McMahon took to Twitter yesterday (July 17) to announce that the WWE YouTube accound has now crossed 70 billion views, which is an insane number.
WWE’s YouTube channel is seventh on the list of most overall channel views on the entire platform, and eighth in terms of overall subscribers, with nearly 90 million.
Our YouTube channel has over 500 million views, so we’re closing ground on you, Steph!
.@WWE’s official YouTube page has crossed 70 billion views – the seventh channel EVER to reach this milestone! A huge thank you to our Superstars, the @WWEUniverse, and the WWE Media team for creating and delivering premium content to our fans around the world!
