A WWE legend made a pitch to be the ‘master of ceremonies’ at WWE’s latest premium live event, SummerSlam.
If you happened to watch SummerSlam, you’ll probably recall that the pitch must have not gotten approved since there was not an emcee for the night’s festivities.
But apparently Kevin Nash had pitched himself for the role, since he was in Detroit for a signing at WrestleCon anyway.
According to his comments on his Kliq This podcast, he pitched the idea several months ago for him to serve as perhaps a welcoming presence for viewers to the event or even interviewing fans outside the venue.
Instead the pre-show did see Cathy Kelley forced out among the masses and no emcee for the big premium live event on Peacock.
As for what Nash said he heard back about his pitched idea? Nothing!
Nash said there was not a response to his pitch to pop by WWE SummerSlam.
