WWE Senior Vice President of Live Events ‘Road Dogg’ Brian James has commented on the possibility of another star joining Alpha Academy.
Chad Gable, Otis and Maxxine Dupri have established themselves as a popular Raw, act, with many fans calling for WWE to present the trio more prominently on TV.
Speaking on his Oh You Didn’t Know podcast, Brian James noted that he believes that Shelton Benjamin would be a great addition to the stable.
The former WWE writer said:
“Shelton Benjamin to me is an awesome addition to any team. He is one of those unsung heroes in this industry.”
James continued to praise Shelton Benjamin, noting:
He came up with the Brock Lesnar’s of the world, but Brock got the shot and not him. He doesn’t have a huge personality.
“But I think what he has in athleticism and presence, and every time I see him his arms get bigger.”
Benjamin and Gable have teamed before, with the duo forming a team on SmackDown in 2017, after American Alpha disbanded with Jason Jordan moved to Raw.
Gable wrestled a big match on the July 31 edition of Raw, initially facing off against Intercontinental Champion GUNTHER in a five minute challenge, before it was restarted as a normal non-title bout.
While GUNTHER ultimately picked up the victory, Gable has issued another challenge to the Ring General.
