There were pitches within WWE to reunite former NXT Tag Team Champions Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy.
Blake recently spoke with Fightful Select (subscription required) where he confirmed that there were pitches to reunite himself and Murphy on the main roster. However, they obviously fell through.
In the same report, Blake revealed that he intends on waiting out his full 90-day non-compete clause. He also said he is open to working with any wrestling company.
Wesley Blake and Buddy Murphy won the NXT Tag Team Championship in January of 2015. They broke up before either was called up to the main roster with Murphy joining 205Live and Blake forming the Forgotten Sons with Steve Cutler and Jaxson Ryker.
Blake was released from WWE on April 15, 2021. Murphy was later released by WWE on June 2, 2021.
