WWE’s next NXT TakeOver is currently scheduled for Thursday, April 8, two days before WrestleMania 37. However, it seems that this TakeOver event may make history.
A new report from Mike Johnson of PWInsider has stated that WWE is considering holding the first-ever two-night TakeOver event. Should the plan come to be, WWE would hold the first half on NXT TV on the USA Network. The first half would take place during NXT’s usual timeslot on Wednesday, April 7.
Here is the quote from PWInsider:
“There has been talk of the show being the first-ever ‘two night’ Takeover, with part one airing on WWE NXT TV on the USA Network on Wednesday 4/7 and then Part Two continuing the next night on the WWE Network, but with a month to go, that idea could change or evolve.”
Reports have also stated that NXT is moving to Tuesdays starting the week after WrestleMania 37. WWE has yet to confirm this but it would mean that this two-night TakeOver event would be the final NXT show broadcast on Wednesday.
We will continue to provide additional details regarding this change as soon as they become available.
