WWE Planning Becky Lynch/Charlotte Flair Double-Turn at Hell in a Cell?

WWE Planning Becky Lynch/Charlotte Flair Double-Turn at Hell in a Cell?

According to Wrestling Observer Radio, WWE could be planning a double-turn in the Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair program in the near future, and specifically at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view this Sunday. This would be a reaction to the clear backlash WWE has received from fans, who are very much on the side of Lynch, despite her being the heel in the situation.

Here’s what WOR host Bryan Alvarez had to say:

“They were going to turn Asuka and they chose to turn Becky instead. Now Becky, them changing their mind is irrelevant to the rest of that story. Asuka was going to turn and they decided to turn Becky Lynch instead. Obviously, that whole thing backfired.

“Yes, if they are going to keep her as a babyface then they could still turn Asuka. But I believe and I will stand by this until the show occurs and it doesn’t happen that you’re going to see a double turn at Hell In A Cell.”

If you’ve noticed over the past couple of weeks, there’s been a subtle change in Becky Lynch’s character. While the ‘Lass Kicker’s new love for black and her “I’m going to beat the crap out of you” demeanor has remained intact, Lynch hasn’t actively tried to turn the fans against her since WWE’s failed attempt to do so in her follow-up promo on the Smackdown Live after Summerslam. This seems like a sign that company officials are indeed listening to the fans.

Its not a lock, but word going around is that the company has discussed having the two wrestle each other again at WWE Evolution, which could be the place where Becky wins the Smackdown Women’s Title.

Either way, by the looks of things, WWE isn’t ignoring this situation and will eventually give the fans what they want by not only turning Becky, but also giving her the Women’s Title she so deserves.
