WWE Planning Changes To Raw Star’s Character

WWE Planning Changes To Raw Star’s Character WWE

A new report has revealed WWE is planning changes for former World Heavyweight Champion Damian Priest’s on-screen character.

Damian Priest has had a breakout year in 2024 after cashing in the Money In The Bank contract to win the World Heavyweight Championship from Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 40.

Priest became a top star on the Monday Night Raw brand before he eventually lost the World Heavyweight Title from GUNTHER at SummerSlam 2024.

Since, Priest has been engaged in a feud with The Judgment Day and Finn Balor.

In the latest edition of WrestleVotes Radio on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon, it was reported that WWE is planning changes for Damian Priest’s character. WrestleVotes said:

“We’ll start with Damian Priest as we left off with him Monday Night Raw wise, we’re told that there are talks to strengthen the Damian Priest character in regards to merchandising and appearance.”

“WWE has discussed priests paying homage to his Puerto Rican culture with him embracing the vejigante mask. Apologies if that’s not pronounced, right.”

“However, that was the research that led to the pronunciation of the vejigante mask. If you recall, Priest has done this mask once before Wrestlemania 40 when he came out with Finn Balor for the tag team match.”

“So we’re told WWE is strongly considering making this part of his character and really turning up his baby face persona.”

Damian Priest last wrestled in a loss to Dominik Mysterio on the October 28 edition of WWE Raw.
