WWE has been celebrating the anniversary of many of it’s top stars this year, notably the 20th anniversary of John Cena, Randy Orton and Rey Mysterio.
However, another anniversary is coming up later this year, relating to WWE Hall of Famer Goldberg, which WWE may be planning a big celebration for.
Goldberg’s first match on WCW Nitro took place on September 22, when he defeated Hugh Morris. That episode of WCW Nitro took place in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Well, so have it, per PWInsider, WWE has now scheduled the September 23 episode of WWE SmackDown for Salt Lake City, Utah. How about that.
It is still not known if WWE plans to incorporate Goldberg’s 25th anniversary into the show, or if this is all one big coincidence.
Goldberg hasn’t wrestled for WWE since the Elimination Chamber event in Saudi Arabia earlier this year, when he lost to Roman Reigns.
