A new report has revealed that WWE is planning an international tryout event for recruits in Europe.
Launched in October 2024, the ID program is described as “a first-of-its-kind developmental program designed to provide up-and-coming independent wrestlers a pathway to a potential career in WWE.”
In the time since the program was announced, not only have a host of talent been confirmed as signed with the program. Through the course of all this talent signing WWE ID contracts, there have not been any European talent approached for ID deals at that time.
Fightful Select (subscription required) provided an update, noting that WWE will be hosting a tryout in early March later this year for some UK and European talent.
The tryout is expected to be based in London, but several notable stars from the UK independent scene were not aware of the tryout at this time.
There have been several independent names such as Rhio, Tate Mayfairs, Damian Corvin and more have drawn some attention from the company as of late.
Talent from wXw, OTT and PROGRESS are all expected to be involved in the upcoming tryout event. Unsigned talent will have until February 28 to apply for this tryout.
WrestleTalk will provide any further updates on this WWE tryout in Europe when they become available.
