According to a report from WrestlingNews.co, WWE is planning on having a wedding angle between Aalyah Mysterio and Murphy on SmackDown as their romance storyline continues on the blue brand.
This comes after Dave Meltzer speculated that Rey Mysterio may take inspiration from a Konnan-led storyline in WWC in Puerto Rico and have his daughter marry the former Cruiserweight Champion.
The site is reporting that, as of a few days ago, WWE was considering having a wedding angle between Murphy and Aalyah. This would reportedly lead to Murphy turning on the Mysterio family:
The Murphy-Mysterio story will continue in some form. At one point, there was talk of a wedding with Murphy turning on the family. That could have changed but we heard that a few days ago and they had already known by that time that Rollins was going to need time off.
While the angle is set to continue with Murphy and the Mysterio family, Seth Rollins is not expected to be involved for the next few weeks as the former WWE Champion will reportedly be taking time off after Survivor Series.
