WWE Planning Raw & SmackDown Announcer Change

WWE Planning Raw & SmackDown Announcer Change WWE

WWE are reportedly planning to make a change to their Raw and SmackDown ring announcer line-ups.

Friday’s WWE SmackDown (January 3) and Monday’s Raw (January 6), will see both shows celebrate a new era in 2025, with SmackDown moving to a three hour broadcast and Raw kicking off its historic new deal with Netflix.

According to PWInsider, WWE are reportedly set to shake things up further for the new year, as Raw and SmackDown’s ring announcers are set to swap brands.

Raw announcer Lilian Garcia is reportedly set to take over on WWE SmackDown in Phoenix for tomorrow night’s show, with it being presumed that she will remain on the blue brand going forward.

Meanwhile SmackDown’s Alicia Taylor is set to be moved to Raw beginning on Monday, January 6 for the Netflix premiere in Inglewood, CA.

The reasoning for the change was note detailed in the report, but we will provide further updates if they become available.

As previously announced by WWE, the Raw and SmackDown commentary teams will also see a change in the new year as Michael Cole and Pat McAfee return to the Raw commentary desk, while the three man team of Joe Tessitore, Wade Barrett and Corey Graves make up the SmackDown line-up.
