WWE is planning to try reconciling with Sasha Banks and Naomi now that Vince McMahon has departed.
On May 16, Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of WWE during an episode of Raw due to creative differences with Vince McMahon.
On the May 20 edition of SmackDown, the duo was subsequently stripped of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships and suspended after Michael Cole said they let the WWE Universe down.
On July 22, Vince McMahon announced his decision to retire from WWE as CEO and Chairman of the Board.
Speaking on Sports Illustrated Media Podcast, Wrestling Observer’s Dave Meltzer was asked if Vince McMahon leaving WWE could lead to Sasha Banks and Naomi returning.
Meltzer said:
“It’s kind of up in the air. I mean, they’re gone. The last I heard was that there would be attempts to be made to reconcile, especially with Vince gone. So, it’s up in the air. I don’t think there’s anything definite just yet.”
There has been speculation that Vince McMahon’s retirement could open up the possibility for Sasha Banks and Naomi returning to WWE in the future.
We will have further update on Sasha Banks and Naomi when they become available.
