WWE has seemingly been giving Cesaro a push on Friday Night SmackDown in recent weeks, with the Swiss Cyborg defeating Daniel Bryan in great one-on-one matches over the last few weeks.
It seems like this may all be the start of a new role for Cesaro, as Dave Meltzer is reporting in the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Cesaro has been told that his new role within the company is to help put over younger talent.
He’s been told his role is to make new stars
This comes as Dave Meltzer has reported that Daniel Bryan is also very much trying to put over younger talent and underutilized workers in his role as part of the SmackDown creative team, which you can read more about by clicking here.
In the same issue, Meltzer revealed that Cesaro has either verbally agreed to sign a new WWE contract or even put pen to paper on a new deal, with reports suggesting that Cesaro’s original deal with WWE was set to expire around WrestleMania time.
