WWE’s plans for shows taking place in Saudi Arabia in 2025 have been revealed following the announcement of the 2026 Royal Rumble.
On Monday, it was officially announced that the 2026 Royal Rumble premium live event would be taking place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the first time ever that the Rumble event would be held outside of North America.
Traditionally, WWE has held two premium live events in the Kingdom per year, with a Crown Jewel event in November and another event earlier in the year.
With the Royal Rumble taking place in January 2026, that would be the earliest in a year that a Saudi event had taken place, and it has seemingly caused some changes to WWE’s schedule for 2025.
Per Fightful Select (subscription required), those in the company have only heard of the one planned event for Saudi Arabia in 2025, with it being targeted for June in Jeddah.
WWE hasn’t run an event in Saudi Arabia in June since the Super Showdown event in 2019.
Should WWE only end up running one event in the Kingdom in 2025, it will be the first year outside of the COVID-19 years that had happened.
