WWE Plans To Use Popular Star As ‘Tweener’ Revealed WWE

An update has emerged on WWE’s plans for Intercontinental Champion Bron Breakker, following his recent booking.

Breakker has wrestled in many different roles during his WWE career, from the face of NXT during his run on the development brand, to the young, hungry threat he has shown himself to be on the main roster.

While Breakker has gained a lot of popularity since making his main roster debut earlier this year, he has found himself taking out a lot of popular stars including Sami Zayn and Jey Uso, both of whom he defeated to win the Intercontinental Title at the beginning of separate reigns.

As now reported on WrestleVotes Radio, WWE plans to use Breakker in a “somewhat neutral” position, rather than making him a full-on babyface or heel:

“Another thing that we’re hearing is some interesting character development notes, as a source within creative has told us the plan for Bron Breakker going forward is to remain somewhat neutral.

“As far as heel and babyface tendency go, there seems to be a plan in place, where in the ring, Breakker can portray the heel-ish side, but as a promo, can lean into the crowd as more of a babyface with his signature dog bark that leads to heavy crowd participation.

“Breakker, who has spent time as both a traditional heel and face in his short career, gets the chance here to play the bit of a tweener character as he ascends up the ladder towards the main event.”
