WWE Plans For Women’s Tag Team Titles After Liv Morgan Injury Revealed WWE

A major update has emerged regarding WWE’s plans for the Women’s Tag Team Championships following Liv Morgan’s shoulder injury on Monday’s Raw (June 16).

This week’s WWE Raw saw Liv Morgan suffer a separated shoulder during the opening seconds of a one-on-one match with Kairi Sane.

The injury, which was later revealed to be separated shoulder, caused the match to end abruptly, with Morgan being escorted backstage by WWE doctors.

With it later being reported that Morgan will have to undergo surgery for the injury, a new report from PWInsider has shared an update regarding both her injury as well as the future of the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships – which are currently held by Morgan and Raquel Rodriguez.

According to the report, multiple WWE sources have confirmed that Liv Morgan has been pulled from the road and won’t be making any appearances on the company’s programming in the near future.

A plan is said to have been made for the WWE Women’s Tag Team Championships, however, as of this morning the titles were not expected to be vacated.

Prior to Morgan’s injury WWE were building towards a feud between the former Women’s World Champion and the returning Nikki Bella, with reports this week revealing that the Hall of Famer was backstage at Raw this week, with plans for her to run-in during the match between Morgan and Kairi Sane.

It has also been reported that WWE were in talks with Nikki’s sister Brie Bella regarding a potential return, with a WWE Women’s Tag Team Title match involving The Bella Twins said to be on the table creatively for the upcoming WWE Evolution PLE on July 13.

It’s unclear what WWE’s plans are for the Women’s Tag Team Titles as of yet, but we will provide updates when more information becomes known.
