UPDATE: WWE has officially announces The Roast of WrestleMania, more details are available at this link.
WWE WrestleMania 41 is around a month away and further details of an ‘outside the box’ event have been revealed.
Taking place in Las Vegas on April 19 & 20, WrestleMania 41 will bring with it a raft of events during that week.
Previously, it was reported that an “outside the box” event was being discussed for the Sunday night.
The show would be along the concept of “The Roast of WrestleMania” and would feature the comedian Tony Hinchcliffe.
Dave Meltzer has now provided further details on the concept as part of the Daily Update from F4W Online.
According to Meltzer, his sources have revealed that the event is likely to be taking place as reported.
It was, however, noted that it would be “more a Hinchcliffe show than a WWE show.”
Hinchcliffe is likely best known for his “roast” style of comedy and his dark, sometimes controversial, sense of humor.
He has written for Comedy Central Roasts and hosted the Kill Tony stand-up comedy show which premiered in June 2013.
Recently, it was revealed that The Undertaker’s 1 deadMAN Show would take place on Saturday, April 19, the first night of WrestleMania 41.
