The next WWE premium live event set to take place on the same day as an AEW pay-per-view has reportedly been revealed.

This weekend will see a big WWE and AEW event clash, with AEW All In Texas airing on Saturday, July 12. WWE has NXT The Great American Bash and Saturday Night’s Main Event also airing on Saturday.

Following a report indicating that WWE plans to counter program more AEW shows, an update appears to have emerged on the next scheduled head-to-head.

Per WrestleVotes on Sportskeeda’s WrestleBinge, WWE NXT Heatwave is currently planned for August 24. This is the same day as AEW’s Forbidden Door pay-per-view, which will emanate from The O2 in London, England.

NXT Heatwave is reportedly expected to be held in South Carolina, with the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium being considered as a venue.

Per WrestleVotes, the decision to go head-to-head with AEW was a “direct call from TKO executives.”

With AEW Forbidden Door emanating from the UK, it will have an earlier start time than US-based pay-per-views. If WWE truly plans to counter program, NXT Heatwave would have to be a daytime show.
