An update has emerged on the possibility of an international WWE PLE taking place following claims made by Bad Bunny.
In a recent interview, Bad Bunny stated that WWE Backlash is “going to Mexico” having taken place in Puerto Rico back in May 2023.
It was later reported that there were no plans for WWE Backlash to be in Mexico, although no venue for the 2025 PLE has been announced at the time of writing.
Backstage Pass has now provided an update on the international plans for WWE PLEs with WrestleVotes touching on a 2026 date for Mexico, saying:
“I would say probably 2026 is a good possibility, yeah. A very high possibility.”
A previous report stated that WWE had talks above a future PLE taking place in Mexico City during 2025.
The first international PLE of 2025 is scheduled to be Elimination Chamber, taking pace on March 1 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.
In 2026, WWE Royal Rumble will take place in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the first time that PLE has been hosted outside the United States since 1989.
