Top WWE Star On The Possibility Of His Children Having Wrestling Careers WWE

Many of the top names in the wrestling industry are second or even third generation stars, Roman Reigns, Cody Rhodes, Dominik Mysterio and Charlotte Flair to name a few.

While there are many in the industry from decorated lineages, speculation often arises about potential wrestling futures of current WWE stars.

During an interview with Inside The Ropes, AJ Styles was asked how he would feel about any of his kids decided to follow in his footsteps.

Referring to his eldest son, Styles responded:

“Nah. Well, I would imagine once like okay ‘I’m chasing this dream’. He is chasing his dream of baseball. So he’s still got one more year of high school, and then go to college and play. But we’ll see where that ends up.

“It’s not for everybody and he has more potential than I ever had to do greater things than I had, but it may come to a point where they go, ‘Well, this didn’t work out, that didn’t work out. Dad, do you mind training us?’ And if that comes to that, I wouldn’t mind doing it.”

Styles would then reveal that his view on his kids wrestling has changed over the years, largely due to the improvement in today’s locker room atmosphere and wrestlers lifestyles, saying:

“I think where we’re at in WWE and other places, it’s a better atmosphere than it’s ever been. It’s not all that drinking and drugs. I’m not saying it doesn’t go on, but it’s not all about that as it was before.

“I think it’s a better atmosphere for kids to actually have a future doing something they enjoy. If my kids want to do it.

“Listen 15 years ago, I’d say absolutely not. No Way Jose, but now, it’s different, I don’t mind it so much.”

On actually getting into the ring and competing alongside his son, similarly to Dominik and Rey Mysterio, Styles would answer:

“Can you imagine traveling and working with your son? That sounds great to me. That’d be fun, and Dom’s, I know he plays a great character but he’s even better person in real life. He’s a good respectful kid.

“(I) can’t say enough great things about him, so his dad must have done something right. But it’s one of those things you never know until you know, and it may take a couple years before they find out, ‘Hey I want to do this’, and I would help him.”

After unfortunately missing WrestleMania 39 with an ankle injury, AJ Styles has been thrusted into WWE’s main event scene once again, with the former two-time WWE Champion set to take on Seth ‘Freakin’ Rollins for the new World Heavyweight Championship at Night of Champions.
