Following his WWE Tag Team Championship loss, popular WWE star Johnny Gargano of DIY has discussed “The Way” reuniting.
In 2023, Johnny Gargano and Tommaso Ciampa reunited as DIY for the first time since 2020.
The duo went on to win the WWE Tag Team Championships from A Town Down Under on the July 5 edition of Friday Night SmackDown.
During his time in NXT, Gargano was part of another team or faction named The Way alongside Candice LeRae, Indi Hartwell, Austin Theory and Dexter Lumis.
Speaking on The Wrestling Classic, Johnny Gargano explained that he would still be interested in getting The Way back together on WWE TV. He said:
“So speaking as a father, you always want to see your children go off and do their own thing, right? But you never know when a family reunion could be in the works, you never know when that could happen.”
“People go off and they do their own thing, but the end of the day, you are still family.”
“So I’ll never say never on a Way reunion. The Way is something that I look back on very fondly, it was one of the funnest times I had in ‘NXT.'”
“So to be able to do that on a grander scale, it is something that I’m always very interested in.”
Johnny Gargano last wrestled in a tag team loss alongside Tommaso Ciampa to The Street Profits on the August 16 episode of SmackDown.
