In August 2018 WWE announced that Renee Young would become a permanent commentator on Monday Night Raw. She has held the position for the last year.
In the process, Young became the first woman to commentate on an entire episode of Monday Night Raw.
Before that, Young was the host of the very popular Talking Smack show on the WWE Network. According to reports, Renee will be hosting the similar new WWE talk show on FS1.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer has noted in the latest Newsletter that FOX wants Young to be exclusive to their network, meaning she might be removed from commentary on Raw and moved to Smackdown.
“On the announcing side, with Renee Young hosting the FS 1 weekly version of UFC Tonight, except it being WWE […] FOX is very high on her which could lead to her being exclusive with that brand. The second part is still up in the air”.
It was reported this week that WWE will be announcing a new draft in the coming weeks to make both Raw and Smackdown feel like different shows with different rosters.
Taking this into consideration, some have speculated that Corey Graves will too have to be assigned to commentary position on either Raw or Smackdown. Currently, he calls both shows.
