A WWE partner has commented on working the company, praising it as being an “incredibly slick and professional” operation.
On June 14 and 15, WWE hosted SmackDown and Clash at the Castle at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland.
The OVO’s Head of Live Entertainment Programming, James Bruce, has commented on the relationship formed with WWE when the parties worked together to put on the event.
In an article on Access All Areas, Bruce described the “tight timeline to plan and execute” the show and everything that went along with it, such as the marketing and technical areas.
Bruce noted that WWE “shared the venue’s huge ambitions” to turn the Scottish Event Campus into a full-on WWE event hub throughout the weekend.
According to Bruce, the OVO Hydro team “learned a lot” by being partnered and working with WWE, calling the company “slick and professional”.
There was a “strong working relationship” between the parties that allowed many different areas of the event to be “maximized”.
Bruce finished off by saying that SmackDown and Clash at the Castle were both considered “a great success” and now the OVO Hydro is looking to host “more shows of this style”.
