WWE is reportedly prepared to make an “outstanding offer” to sign a top AEW star.
With her last appearance on AEW television coming via her ‘Hollywood Ending’ match with Toni Storm at AEW Revolution, it was recently reported that Mariah May had informed the company that she didn’t intend to sign a new contract.
May’s plans to depart the company when her deal expires later this year reportedly accelerated the company’s plans to conclude her trilogy of matches with Storm at Revolution, just weeks after their second bout took place at AEW Grand Slam Australia.
In a new update from WrestleVotes Radio on Sportskeeda’s Backstage Pass Patreon, it was reported that WWE are prepared to make an “outstanding offer” to sign May when her AEW deal expires near the Fall – with WWE carrying significant interest in the English star.
Information has been conflicting as to when exactly May’s AEW contract is expected to expire, with some reports stating that her deal still had significant time left on it, while others expected her contract to expire in November.
We will provide updates on May’s future in AEW and interest from WWE when more information becomes available.
