WWE President Nick Khan has commented on social media criticism of the company and how the company works around it.
WWE has often faced a lot of criticism from fans online in regards to it’s product over the years, with the company occasionally pivoting plans to appease the criticism from fans.
Ahead of WrestleMania 41, Paul Levesque sat down for an interview, where he noted that he wants to tell the critics to ‘fuck off and be a fan’, and WWE President Nick Khan has now commented on online criticism.
Speaking to Stephanie McMahon on What’s Your Story, Khan said that the company encourages their creative team and writes not to program for online critics, and to program for “the universe”.
He said:
“It’s something we encourage our creative team and writers – don’t program for that. Program for the universe. Not for a small portion of the universe who wants to critcize you.”
Khan himself was recently responsible for Ron Killings (R-Truth)’s return to the company after backlash from fans both online and in the arenas for Raw and SmackDown.
