WWE Producer Opens Up About Brodie Lee Jr. Training Session

A former WWE star has recently recalled the training session he hosted with Brodie Lee Jr.

Since his father’s tragic passing, Brodie Lee Jr. has became a beloved member of the AEW roster. From hitting MJF with a kendo stick to belated birthday celebrations, “-1” has been a ray of sunshine on AEW programming.

Lee has also mixed it up with WWE talent. Last month, Amanda Huber (Brodie Lee’s wife and Brodie Lee Jr’s mother) shared a video of her son throwing down with Liv Morgan, Tyson Kidd and Natalya at Kidd’s training facility.

Speaking with Chris Vann Vliet, Tyson Kidd revealed that Lee had no hesitation stepping between the ropes.

Noting that Lee was experienced in amateur wrestling and jiu-jitsu, Kidd recalled Lee’s infectious energy, as he enthusiastically gave the WWE talent sequences to perform with him.

Here is the full quote, courtesy of Fightful:

“He’s insane [laughs]. I said, ‘Brodie, you wanna get in the ring?’ He said, ‘Yes!’ He didn’t even think about it. We rolled in, locked up, and he’s strong. I knew he did amateur wrestling, but now he does jiu-jitsu too. He shot in for a single and hit an outside trip. I was like, ‘Okay, this guy is serious.’ We’re wrestling and he gives me something to where I’m in the corner, he’s in the opposite corner. He comes flying in with a dropkick. I’m just laughing.

Before I’m done laughing, he’s back in the corner and I thought he was going to do another one. Wrong. Cannonball. He had energy forever. It was hard to get him out of the ring. I have crashpads, so we brought them over and he was jumped off the steps and do a frog splash or coffin drop or leg drop or elbow or swanton. Then he started making me call out wrestlers and he would do their moves. Then he gets on the apron and jumps on the pad. He kept doing the spinning clothesline. His face was glowing and he was having the time of his life,”

Growing up with such a passionate father, it is no surprise that Lee Jr. has developed such a love for being inside a wrestling ring.

It was reported at the end of 2020 that Brodie Lee Jr. signed a unique AEW contract, allowing him the opportunity to work for the company upon adulthood.

With such a tragic end to 2020, it is heart-warming to hear how the wrestling world came together for the Huber family.
