WWE has provided an update on the status of the Women’s Tag Team Championship following last night’s Clash of Champions pay-per-view.
Nia Jax & Shayna Baszler were set to defend the gold against Liv Morgan & Ruby Riott, but the match was pulled due to reasons relating to COVID-19.
WWE documented that neither Baszler nor Jax had been medically cleared and that’s why the match didn’t happen.
In a new update, Kayla Braxton explained on WWE’s Twitter that the champs will defend against Morgan & Riott at some point when they are medically cleared.
The matter will also be further addressed during tonight’s episode of Raw on the USA Network.
WrestleTalk.com will, as always, have live coverage of Raw tonight, so stay tuned for news on any happenings during the show.
