WWE Pulls Performer From Kickboxing Fight

Fightful Select (subscription required) is reporting WWE pulled NXT performer Xia Li from an amateur kickboxing event. Apparently, according to the report, WWE was not aware of the event until the announcement surfaced online.

According to the report, many people backstage in WWE completely understood why they would pull her from this event. However, Li was not one of those who was so understanding:

“WWE pulled her from the event, which was said to have upset her. All of those that we spoke to within the company understood why WWE would pull her, but that she didn’t understand why and thought that WWE ‘wasn’t giving her respect.'”

Sean Ross Sapp is also reporting she can take responsibility for appearing on NXT more often. Supposedly, she went to Triple H and said she should be used more often and felt she could hold her own.

Sapp is reporting Triple H was impressed with her initiative. As a result, he felt comfortable rewarding her with more television opportunities.
