UFC Hall of Famer Daniel Cormier has recalled Brock Lesnar saying that he was done with wrestling during the pandemic.
Speaking on Daniel Cormier TV, the MMA star stated that Brock Lesnar told him that he wasn’t a fan of wrestling without crowds.
Sharing Lesnar’s thoughts on the WWE Thunderdome, Cormier said:
“I could not stand that. We don’t fight for nothing.
“You know what Brock Lesnar told me?… He said when he went back to the WWE at the end of the pandemic and he was wrestling in front of those screens, they had nobody there, he goes, ‘I’m done. I did not get into this for this. I want to be in front of a crowd.'”
After Lesnar dropped the WWE Championship to Drew McIntyre at WrestleMania 36 in 2020, it was heavily speculated that Lesnar had retired, before his return to the ring at Crown Jewel 2021.
Lesnar is currently feuding with Cody Rhodes, after attacking the WrestleMania 39 main-eventer on the April 3 edition of Raw.
A potential spoiler has emerged on this rivalry, which you can read more about right here.
