With WWE WrestleMania 42 approaching, a veteran star has contemplated the possibility of another world championship reign.
Next month’s WrestleMania 42 will see Drew McIntyre defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against the winner of the Men’s Elimination Chamber match.
With Randy Orton participating in that match this coming Saturday, the veteran WWE star addressed the possibility of another title reign during an appearance on ESPN’s Get Up.
Looking back at the storied reigns of past world champions, including the record set by John Cena during his retirement year, Orton teased the possibility of “at least one more” win, saying:
“That’d be huge. I think right now you’ve got Triple H and myself tied at 14. John Cena, of course, just retired with 17 world championships; you’ve got Ric Flair, I think, with 16.
“I’d love to get one more, at least one more. It would mean the world to me, I’ve been around now 26 years, I’ve been doing this for well more than half my life.
“Third generation wrestler… This is my life, this is everything to me, so to be world champion again would mean the world, and it all starts this Saturday at Elimination Chamber.”
