On tonight’s WWE SmackDown, the reaction of Randy Orton to Cody Rhodes’ decision to team with Roman Reigns was revealed.
To open tonight’s September 27 SmackDown, there was an in-ring segment with Randy Orton during which he acknowledged that he had some questions for Cody Rhodes regarding his plan to team with Roman Reigns at Bad Blood.
After Rhodes made his entrance, he did acknowledge that it was an odd move to team with Reigns but that the new Bloodline had gotten so out of control, it needed to be killed.
In the exchange, Rhodes noted that he was planning on taking Roman Reigns at his word but hoped that it didn’t cause any problem for Orton.
Orton replied: “No problem Cody, no problem… Unless, of course, you make it a problem.”
By the end of the segment, Kevin Owens had challenged Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu to a tag team match on tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown.
However when Cody attempted to interject to note that he was ready to fight too and wanted to make it a six-man tag, Owens shut him down and said that Rhodes already had his own tag match against the Bloodline at Bad Blood to focus on instead.
It was soon made official that Orton and Owens would take on Sikoa and Fatu in the main event of tonight’s show.
