WWE Star Shares Honest Thoughts On Botched Randy Orton Vs Je’Von Evans RKO WWE

WWE Hall of Famer and NXT commentator Booker T has shared his thoughts on the botched Randy Orton RKO from last week’s NXT episode.

The October 8 NXT episode was headlined by a big match, with rising star Je’Von Evans facing off against former world champion Randy Orton.

In the closing moments of the match, Orton attempted to counter an aerial move from Evans into an RKO.

The duo unfortunately weren’t able to pull off the move, with Orton hitting a normal RKO, leaving the crowd to wonder what could have been.

Speaking on his Hall of Fame podcast, Booker T noted that he doesn’t think Je’Von Evans deserves any backlash for the failed execution of this spot.

Calling out those who have criticised Evans following the match, Booker T said:

“No, I don’t. I don’t at all, just because that kid was in a high-pressure situation, going out there, working with somebody like Randy Orton, a major player, a guy that’s pretty much giving you the rub. Do I agree with the backlash? No, I don’t.

“Are you gonna make mistakes in a match? Yeah. Was the finish flawless, like people were expecting it to be? No, it wasn’t. But is that one mistake gonna be a setback for this kid? I don’t think so at all. All the haters online that’s giving this kid hate, they wish they were as talented as this kid.

“They wish they could do what this young man can do on a nightly basis. It’s easy to have Twitter fingers and talk about somebody else when you’re sitting on your sofa.”
