Randy Orton Doesn’t Expect His WWE Record To Be Broken WWE

With a WWE career that started back in 2000, Randy Orton is confident that one of his records will stay with him for some time to come.

Orton signed with WWE in 2000 and made his main roster debut in early 2002 with his first television appearance being on April 25 of that year.

2003 saw Orton join Evolution alongside Ric Flair, Triple H and Batista, with 2004’s SummerSlam seeing him become the youngest world champion in WWE history aged 24.

In an appearance on Sportskeeda WrestleBinge, Orton was asked about the current crop of WWE stars and who stands out.

Noting the upsides of Austin Theory and how he could be a WWE World Champion one day, Orton also discussed the “special circumstances” surrounding his rise to world champion, saying:

“As far as someone becoming the youngest World Heavyweight Champion and taking that from me, I don’t see that happening.

“Only because I think it was a very special circumstance when I became the youngest World Champion. I was 24 years old, and I don’t know if there’s anyone young enough to make it to that yet.

“So I think I’m gonna hold that for quite some time, if not from here on out.”

Orton’s initial reign as WWE World Heavyweight Champion came to an end at Unforgiven on September 12, 2004, when he would lose the belt to Triple H.

He has since gone on to hold that championship a total of four times, along with being a WWE Champion ten times.

His catalogue of titles is rounded out by the WWE Intercontinental Championship, United States Championship, and World Tag Team Championship (with Edge).

Orton has also held both the WWE Raw Tag Team and SmackDown Tag Team Championships – Raw with Matt Riddle and SmackDown with the Wyatt Family.
