A WWE name has revealed the reason that they were noticeably absent from last night’s pre-taped episode of Raw.

The December 22 episode of WWE Raw took place at the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan and saw Mark Nash on ring announcer duties.

Typically, Alicia Taylor has served as WWE Raw ring announcer throughout 2025, with the familiar voice now revealing why she wasn’t on duties for last night’s episode.

With a fan questioning the absence of Taylor on last night’s episode, the WWE announcer would confirm it was because of the pre-taped nature of the show, responding:

“TAPED at SD … just like last week I was on Smackdown (taped as well) ✌🏾”

Last night’s WWE Raw was, indeed, taped on December 19, along with the upcoming episode of SmackDown, which will see an NXT star get their main roster call-up.

This wasn’t the only main roster move witnessed recently, with Je’Von Evans being referenced as a “soon-to-be free agent” on last night’s episode of Raw.

Taylor has been the primary ring anouncer for WWE Raw since the depature of Samantha Irvin, with Mark Nash fulfilling that role over in SmackDown.
