Last week saw Raw and SmackDown Live both increase in viewership in what seemed to be a buck in the trend of poor TV ratings for some time now.
This week’s shows were the penultimate before WWE SummerSlam 2018, so let’s see how both brands did this time round in the WWE Raw and SmackDown Live TV ratings report.
Last week’s Raw came with the promise of a Brock Lesnar appearance, as well as a couple of big matches in Finn Bálor vs. Baron Corbin and Dolph Ziggler vs. Drew McIntyre. This was enough to secure an increase to 2.900 million viewers.
Before the show this week, we knew there would be no Brock Lesnar which is a blow, but we did have Mojo Rawley vs. Bobby Roode and Ronda Rousey’s Raw debut vs. Alicia Fox announced prior to the show.
Despite the in-ring Raw debut of the ‘Baddest Woman on the Planet,’ the red brand saw a decrease to 2.804 million viewers.
Here’s the hourly breakdown:
- 8 pm hour – 2.830 million
- 9 pm hour – 2.854 million
- 10 pm hour + overrun – 2.728 million
