An interesting name was backstage at tonight’s June 30 WWE Raw and pre-taped SmackDown in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Tonight, Raw took place two hours earlier than usual as this week’s episode of SmackDown was taped straight after.
The pre-taped SmackDown is due to Friday being the Fourth of July, so it’ll air on delay at its usual time, but WWE personnel get the holiday off instead of the show being live.
An interesting note from tonight’s show was that former WCW announcer Mark Madden was backstage.
Madden is from Pittsburgh and hosts radio shows in the area.
Sharing a selfie he took with Charlotte Flair, Madden tweeted:
Me & a bright shining star. Love her. Great time at @WWE tonight, especially seeing @MsCharlotteWWE! Nobody better!
He added:
Also spoke with @ShaneHelmsCom. Three Count comeback is in the works! Also @RealKingRegal …still a scoundrel. Road Dogg, Nick Aldis, Pete Dunne, Shawn Daivari, quick chat with @CMPunk …just a fun night!
Saw @CodyRhodes, too! Happy birthday! He is a phenom!
During the Raw main event as Bron Breakker and Bronson Reed teamed up against Penta and Sami Zayn, Madden posted:
Boy, is @bronbreakkerwwe a star. I’m here barking w/the rest of ‘em.
