WWE Makes Hilarious Championship Botch

With Roman Reigns currently in possession of both the WWE and Universal Championships, the United States Championship serves as Raw’s de facto number one men’s title.

Austin Theory is currently holding the championship, capturing it from Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley in a Triple Threat match back at Survivor Series WarGames.

Well, at least we all thought he did.

WWE announced a number one contender’s match between Seth Rollins and Bobby Lashley for tomorrow night’s (December 12) episode of Raw.

The winner of the match will earn a shot at the title in the future.

However, when WWE advertised the match on their Twitter account, they claimed that the match would be contested FOR the title.

Someone better tell Austin Theory.
