WWE Backstage Reaction To Corey Graves On Raw Revealed

The June 16 episode of WWE Raw saw a commentary change due to the absence of Pat McAfee and the backstage reaction has been revealed.

Stepping into the shoes of McAfee was Corey Graves, who has served as a commentary partner on WWE NXT.

With Graves having publicly voiced his displeasure at being removed from the main roster commentary team for a position in NXT, it was recently revealed that he was given “high marks” when he served as lead announcer at Worlds Collide on June 7.

Details have now emerged regarding Graves and his reputation backstage in light of his earlier comments.

According to PWInsider, Graves was “well-received” during his return to the WWE Raw commentary team on June 16.

It was noted by an unnamed WWE source that Graves’ profile within the company and his performance at Worlds Collide had left his contentious comments “all but forgotten”.

Further to this, one of PWInsider’s sources went on to state that Graves has proved himself to the new regime in WWE.

They stated:

“He wants to perform for the company and show what he can do and he proved himself to the new regime with Worlds Collide.”

Outside of WWE, it was recently reported that Graves and his wife, the former Carmella, are expecting their second child, with it being confirmed that the pair are expecting a son.
