The January 30 edition of WWE Raw following the Royal Rumble premium live event achieved a historic record.
Royal Rumble 2023 was a massive success for WWE, with the company recently touting the premium live event as the most viewed Royal Rumble event of all time.
It was also revealed that the January 28 show set the record for the largest Royal Rumble gate ever, with WWE making over $7.7 million in ticket sales.
The following edition of Raw had a total viewership figure of 2.114 million. Per Brandon Thurston of Wrestlenomics, the show had the biggest post-Royal Rumble bump since at least 1996, compared with the median of the previous four weeks’ viewership figures.
Monday’s show was headlined by Cody Rhodes’ singles return. Following his Royal Rumble victory, Rhodes defeated Finn Balor on his road to WrestleMania 39.
At the April 1-2 event, Rhodes will challenge for Roman Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Also on Raw, Royal Rumble winner Rhea Ripley issued a challenge to SmackDown Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair for WrestleMania.
