Stephanie McMahon has a historic announcement! Elias has a new album! And we find out who will face Brock Lesnar at Summerslam! All on this week’s Monday Night Raw. Here’s what happened…
Stephanie McMahon, Vince McMahon and HHH were in the ring, and all the other WWE superstars were on the stage. HHH asked the women to step forward and got emotional as he talked about how far they’d come. Stephanie then announced the first ever all-female PPV, WWE Evolution on October 28, to a positive response. She said it would feature more than 50 superstars. The Raw, SmackDown and NXT women on the stage (Nikki Cross was noticeable near the front) all hugged with delight.
Roman Reigns pinned Bobby Lashley after a spear to earn a Universal Title match with Brock Lesnar at Summerslam. This was a rare pro-Roman crowd and the win got a great reaction. Incidentally, Reigns took a really nasty-looking bump on his head during this match when Lashley threw him back into the ring.
Braun Strowman cut an in-ring promo reminding everyone he has the Money in the Bank briefcase. A bandaged-up Kevin Owens came out and was furious about being thrown off the cage at Extreme Rules. Constable Corbin then emerged and announced that Jinder Mahal had been appointed to help Braun find inner peace. The Monster Among Men then destroyed Mahal and Sunil Singh.
