WrestleTalk is providing live coverage of tonight’s WWE Raw. Will tonight’s show be better than SmackDown? I mean, how could it not? We are getting a night full of grudge matches.
Here’s what is advertised for the show:
- The Kabuki Warriors challenge Sasha Banks & Bayley for the WWE Womenโs Tag Team Championship
- R-Truth goes one-on-one with Randy Orton
- Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins clash in a WrestleMania rematch
- The Viking Raiders square off with Andrade & Angel Garza in an Elimination Tag Team Match
The Ladies are the main event
The Women’s Tag Titles are in the main event, right where they should be. Early on, Asuka can’t quite get a hold of either Sasha or Bayley.
Kairi is in and looks great. She is cleaning house.
This match has been really good. Back and forth. Asuka gets in control. She locks in the Asuka Lock on Banks. Bayley breaks it up at the last minute.
Kairi hits the Insane Elbow. Bayley breaks it up.
In the end, Banks locks in the Banks Statement and she forces Kairi to tap.
Good match. Good action. Great way to finish the show.
See you on Wednesday for NXT/AEW.

Lashley vs. Ricochet
The Hurt Business is taking on Ricochet with Cedric Alexander. Could Cedric turn soon? MVP sent him something this week.
Dolph sneak attacks Drew backstage.
Now, we get Lashley vs. Ricochet. Lashley hits a dominator, but Ricochet kicks out. Ultimately, Lashley locks in the Full Nelson. Rico taps. Cedric gets in and tries to break it up. Cedric gets the Full Nelson. Lashley dominates.

Orton vs. R-Truth
Orton cuts a promo about Big Show and all the people who he’s taken out. He warns Ric Flair. Could we see Orton punt Flair tonight? This R-Truth match shouldn’t be long and will be all about the after party.
Flair says he respects R-Truth and Orton won’t punt his head off. He’s just going to give him an RKO. Did you forget this is a grudge match? What a grudge these two have.
Welp, it’s over. RKO. Done. Truth didn’t even get to take his title off. Both entrances were longer than the actual match.
Looks like Orton isn’t done yet. Orton lines him up. Flair gets in the way. Here comes Big Show. Orton tells him to stop before he kicks R-Truth.
Orton challenges Big Show to a match next week on Raw. Not at Extreme Rules?

Rollins vs. KO
Kevin Owens pulls Rollins into the ring and the match starts. The Mysterio family and Black are surrounding Rollins.
PS. Joe is the best thing about this announce team every week. Rollins is getting ganged up on. He keeps trying to run away, but Rollins and crew won’t let it happen.
This is going to be your long match of the evening. We’ve been through a commercial break. The match turns vicious. Rollins rakes Owens eyes and tries to dig out one of Rollins’ eyes.
Black, Dominik, and Rey climb up on the apron. Rollins is distracted and KO hits a Stunner. KO Wins.
At one point, it was pretty basic in wrestling that good guys don’t cheat. Bad guys do. Heels have the numbers advantage. Good guys always are outnumbered. AND…If you’re building to a pay-per-view, the guy who’s in the match wins. Why does WWE keep having people lose in the build to big pay-per-view matches?ย Why would I want to pay to see a loser compete? Why do I want to see Rollins in a fight when he just lost? The build is supposed to make people tune in to see the heel get his comeuppance. Why would I want to see Mysterio fight when Rollins took out his eye? It makes no sense. Wresling logic please.
Flair’s with Big Show.

Murphy vs. Black Part 134
Black and Murphy are fighting again. Meanwhile, Tom Phillips is amazed he’s having to call a match where someone is going to pull out another person’s eye. Yep, it’s happening.
Black hits a beautiful Black Mass. Rollins breaks up the pin and gets Murphy DQ’ed.
Black hit 2 or 3 V-triggers that were great. After the match, The Mysterios and KO surround Rollins in the ring.
BLXCK. MASS.#WWERaw @WWEAleister pic.twitter.com/Xr1X6zDREq

Seth delivers a message
Seth Rollins just keeps saying an eye for an eye. Seth is having a breakdown. Seth doesn’t want to lose one of his eyeballs.
Seth may have to go full Paul Burchill and wear an eye patch for the rest of his career.
This seems like a different Rollins. You can truly tell he’s afraid. He doesn’t want the match, but he’s going do what he has to do to blind Mysterio.
I like this Rollins’ delivery better than some of his others. He seems the most natural and comfortable he’s been.
And, out is Kevin Owens. He brings Rollins a gift. It’s an eye patch.
Rollins calls out Murphy to attack. Black interrupts. Guess we’ll get a match between these two. Have they ever wrestled before?

R-Truth vs. Akira and the Ninjas
Impromtu title match on WWE Raw with R-Truth facing Akira Tozawa for the 24/7 Championship.
Hey, at least the Ninjas are wearing their masks. For some reason, Shayna Baszler is out here and looks like she’s going ninja hunting.
Why? I’m not sure, but she destroys 3 ninjas. Akira says no thanks and Baszler is about to win the 24/7 championship. Again, why?
Nope, Truth leaves too. Baszler is on the mic. She’s says she’s been so patient and now she’s done. She’s calling out all the women’s champions. They’ve been warned.
Apparently, the people in charge of Raw heard all the complaints. Belair and Baszler both back. If Liv Morgan shows up as Sister Abigail the internet may melt.

Raw is IIconic
God’s gift to women’s wrestling Billie Kay is in action with Peyton Royce. They are taking on Bianca Belair and Ruby Riott.
Will Ruby Riott actually get to win a match on Raw? She’s 0’fer since returning.
In a rather quick little match, Belair dominates once she gets tagged in. She pins Billie Kay.
Hilariously, Ruby gets in almost no offense. Even when she wins she loses.

Elimination match
Garza and Andrade are facing off The Viking Raiders in an elimination match.
Andrade hits the hammerlock DDT to eliminate Erik. It’s now 2 on 1.
Ivar eliminates Andrade. Ivar hits a spin kick. Andrade puts Garza’s foot on the ropes and saves the match.
Garza hits a powerbomb, yes a powerbomb, and wins. Garza and Andrade are good when they are on the same page.
Ruby Riott introduces her partner against the IIconics. It’s Bianca Belair. She’s alive. She said she had some time. No doubt. She has had lots of time doing nothing. FACE PALM…

It's the VIP Lounge
MVP is out here ballin’ in the VIP Lounge. His guest is Dolph Ziggler. Ziggler is out saying he’s going to turn Drew back to the old Drew who got released.
He wants a thank you. MVP says he’ll do what Drew won’t. MVP thanks Ziggler.
Drew is out. Drew talks a bit. He then punches Ziggler down. Then, he fakes out MVP with a fake head butt.
Charly interviews her favorites Angel Garza, Andrade, and Vega. Vega is a fantastic promo. Garza is great at being a cheesy, romantic.
The Viking Raiders come up. They say they are the most dominant tag team on Raw. and then Charly gets distracted by Ivar. He give her Garza’s rose. That was great. Ivar the ladies man. Hilarious.
