WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H and WWE President Nick Khan have officially confirmed the age rating for Monday Night Raw on Netflix, amid speculation that the show could be set for a change from TV-PG.
Ever since Netflix was announced to be the new home of WWE Raw beginning in January 2025, one of the burning questions from fans has been whether the move away from a TV network will allow for less restrictions on the content featured on WWE’s flagship show.
Now, speaking just a month ahead of WWE Raw’s big Netflix debut, both Triple H and Nick Khan have addressed the potential change from TV-PG to a more adult rating at the WWE Netflix HQ event in California yesterday (December 3).
As reported by Variety, Triple H confirmed that Raw will remain TV-PG on Netflix:
“It’s a safe place for families, for kids, for everybody, to be able to view the programming, that will not change.”
Khan would also comment on the speculation regarding a shift to a more adult-focused product, reaffirming that WWE will remain family friendly:
“There’s some online chatter about how it’s going to be ‘R’ rated or, for us old folks, ‘X’ rated. That’s definitely not happening.
“It’s a family friendly, multi-generational, advertiser-friendly programming. It’s going to stay that way.”
While a change from TV-PG is not coming, Khan said that WWE Raw’s move to one platform worldwide will see even more focus on global markets:
“The countries outside of the United States are as important to us as the United States are. We have certain targeted countries that are priorities for Netflix. They’re priorities for us. You’re going to see more of that.”
Khan would also note that the Raw Netflix premiere on January 6 has already broken the company’s arena ticket record, despite not yet selling out the Intuit Dome in Inglewood, CA.
We will continue to provide further updates on WWE Raw’s move to Netflix as/when more information is available.
