WWE Star To Miss Upcoming Raw On Netflix Episode? WWE

Ahead of the College Football Playoff National Championship game, WWE’s Pat McAfee is set to potentially miss Raw on Netflix.

Starting with the January 6 episode, WWE Monday Night Raw made the move from cable television to streaming with their debut on Netflix.

Back on the commentary desk for the first time since September of 2024, Pat McAfee returned to his position alongside Michael Cole on the call for the action. McAfee took several months off to resume his role as the host for ESPN’s College GameDay pre-game show.

On January 13, ESPN announced the lineup for the College Football Playoff National Championship game, which is set for January 20.

Among the lineup, The Pat McAfee Show will continue their Field Pass series on the sidelines of the Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, Georgia.

Confirming that McAfee will be in the Mercedes Benz Stadium, the description reads:

Returning in 2025, the fan favorite Field Pass will lead the MegaCast offerings from this year’s National Championship on ESPN2. Field Pass with The Pat McAfee Show will offer entertaining, free-flowing commentary of the CFP National Championship Game, anchored by Pat McAfee, who will roam the sidelines of Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

McAfee will call the action from the unique vantage point, joined by AJ Hawk, Darius Butler, Connor Campbell, Ty Schmit and Tone Digs, as well as a rotation of ESPN analysts, notable personalities, and celebrities throughout the game.

Field Pass with The Pat McAfee Show delivered the largest audience for any ESPN alternate telecast on record with 2.4 million viewers from the College Football Playoff Semifinal at the Rose Bowl Game Presented by Prudential.

McAfee discussed his upcoming appearance on the Pat McAfee show, in a clip which you can view below.

While McAfee’s absence from Raw hasn’t officially been announced, it’s worth noting that coverage for this college football event in Atlanta, Georgia begins at 7:30pm ET, where Raw is set to begin at 8pm ET in Dallas, Texas, so it seems unlikely that McAfee would be able to do both.
