WWE Raw Potentially Returning To Three Hours On Netflix Update WWE

A new report has provided an update on WWE Raw potentially returning to a three-hour format when the show premieres on Netflix.

The January 6 edition of Monday Night Raw will serve as the Netflix premiere for the show after over 30 years on cable television. Ahead of the move, WWE changed their flagship show from a three-hour broadcast to two hours in October for their remaining few months on the USA Network.

In the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer commented on WWE Raw potentially moving back to three hour.

While with Netflix, there’s no reason to have a hard run-time and each week can be theoretically be different, there are still international deals to consider that may have to be consistent. The report reads:

“Regarding whether Raw will go three hours, originally, because with Netflix, they don’t have a time they have to hit each week.”

“However, because there are several deals internationally still in place, there are discussions going on regarding having a firm time each week and how to handle the advertising aspect give there would be a certain amount of ad time and in theory, more for three hours than two hours”

WWE has announced that rapper Travis Scott will appear on the Monday Night Raw Netflix premiere on January 6.
