WWE Raw Preview, August 20, 2018 – WrestleTalk

Well then.

Roman Reigns is the new Universal Champion, and we may never see Brock Lesnar in a WWE ring again.

Amazingly, with Braun’s distraction, they made the match far more bearable than it should have been, and now we have the exciting prospect of Braun’s revenge on Roman.

Reigns will almost certainly come out to plenty of boos tonight, but then if he came out to anything else, I think we’d all be very disappointed. His first feud will almost certainly be Braun, unless they decide to have Braun stand outside the ring of every Roman match for the foreseeable future.

It was a good night for the former shield members too, as Seth Rollins regained the Intercontinental Championship from Dolph Ziggler. I suppose Dolph now has a rematch clause, but I’m far more excited to see who Seth will feud with next.

Perhaps a heel Ambrose? I doubt they’d pull the trigger on an Ambrose heel-turn so soon, but it’s a possibility.

Or maybe Seth will simply move from Dolph to Drew, which is a feud I think everyone is pretty keen on seeing. There are a lot of potentially great feuds that can now come from this, and I for one am very much looking forward to it.

Ronda Rousey proved that she’s completely terrifying last night, and now we have to see whose arm she’s going to break next.

Rumours are that Natalya will turn on her, setting up a trainer vs trainee feud. I’ve never been a fan of Natalya, and although this feud makes sense, it’s not exactly inspired booking. Hopefully we’ll see a few call-ups from NXT tonight, so perhaps her next opponent will be found in there.

And speaking of NXT call-ups, that’s always a lot of fun to see whose music hits. As long as it’s someone like No Way Jose, I think we’ll all come away very happy.

The Rest

  • The B-Team will accidentally beat someone again.
  • Who will stunt Finn Balor’s momentum?
