WWE Star Breaks Record On Monday Night Raw

WWE Star Breaks Record On Monday Night Raw WWE

Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio made WWE history on Monday’s (July 8) Raw episode, setting a new company record.

While Mysterio was inducted into the Hall of Fame in April 2023, the luchador is still an active member of the WWE roster.

Rey was in action on this week’s edition of Monday Night Raw, teaming with Zelina Vega to face off against Liv Morgan and his son Dominik Mysterio.

Wrestling Stats & Info (@WWEStats) have pointed out that this was Rey Mysterio’s 33rd televised match since his Hall of Fame induction.

This means that on Raw, Rey Mysterio broke the record for most televised WWE matches by an inducted member of the WWE Hall of Fame.

The record was previously held by Jerry Lawler, who wrestled 32 matches on TV after joining the WWE Hall of Fame in 2007.

If you’re wondering, Adam Copeland (Edge) wrestled 28 televised WWE matches between his return to the ring in January 2020, and leaving WWE in August 2023.

Rey’s first match post-induction also involved Dominik Mysterio, with Rey defeating his son in singles action at WrestleMania 39.

Following Monday’s tag-team match, Rhea Ripley made her return to confront Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan.

An intriguing backstage update has emerged on Rhea Ripley and the Judgment Day, which you can read more about right here.
